The FTC has obtained court orders shutting down a Telemarketing sales training scheme known as “The Sales Mentor.”  Pursuant to the court orders the company and its owners will also be required to pay a million dollars in refunds to victims of their scam which operated between 2018 and 2022.  The Sales Mentor was advertised as a telemarketing training program that would put the buyers of the program in a position where they would be able to earn an average of $20,000 per month, which was untrue.  The list of deceptive and outright lies that The Sales Mentor used in its advertising and online videos included representations that they had helped more than 25,000 people find jobs with “life-changing incomes.”   Perhaps its biggest lie was an advertisement in which it proclaimed “it’s virtually IMPOSSIBLE NOT to enjoy a job-replacing six figure income, even part-time.”

The price paid by people persuaded by the deceptive and false representations of “The Sales Mentor” were as high as $9,000 for which they received little in return and certainly not entrance into the jobs promised.

TIPS

As terms of the refund become known I will report them to you here at Scamicide.  You an always find a list of the present FTC refunds on the first page of Scamicide in the section deisgnated “FTC Scam Refunds.”

Before paying for any type of training program, it is prudent to investigate thoroughly both the history of the training program and verify any claims made by it as well as investigate the people involved in the training program.  Anyone who had done so in regard to “The Sales Mentor” would have found that it was not worth the money.
