I am constantly alerting you to security updates as they are issued by the makers of the software that we all use because it is critical to keep the security of your smartphones, laptops, computers, tablets and other electronic devices as current as possible. Hackers and identity thieves are always working to identify and exploit software security flaws in order to enable them to make us victims of identity theft and advance other scams. Therefore it is very important to install security patches and update your software as soon as new patches are made available. You cannot depend on your anti-virus and anti-malware software to protect you because the best of these security software programs are always behind the hackers and identity thieves when it comes to identifying security flaws. Recently the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team issued its latest list of security patches for a wide range of software programs including a number of critical security patches for Cisco, Google Chrome, Blackberry and Java. I urge you to go to the link below and install the latest security patches that apply to you.
