Regular readers of Scamicide know that I pass along notices of important security patches issued by software manufacturers, such as Apple, Microsoft, Oracle and others.  Downloading new security software patches to your computer is critical because identity thieves and scammers constantly discover and exploit vulnerabilities in the software we all use to make us victims of identity theft and other scams.  Recently the Department of Homeland Security issued its newest collection of security patches released by various software manufacturers.  The list classifies the importance of the patches as either High, Medium or Low.  It is particularly important to update your software if it falls in the High severity classification.
