I often tell you about the importance of promptly installing all security updates to the various software programs that you use.  Identity thieves take advantage of people not being vigilant in updating their software security and exploit this lack of vigilance by turning these vulnerabilities into opportunities for identity theft.  Whenever there is a security patch for whatever software you use, you should make sure that you update your computer and other electronic devices as soon as possible.  With all of these programs, if you neglect to update the programs with security patches, hackers can steal information from your computer by exploiting existing vulnerabilities and make you a victim of identity theft.

Adobe acrobat is a very common software program used by millions of people.  It is a good and useful program, but you must keep it updated.

Mozilla, which make the excellent Firefox web browser has also issued an important security patch.

Google also has issued a new security patch for its Google Chrome.

As always, it is critical to keep these programs up to date with the latest security patches.

As for Java, it continues to have security problems and according to one software security company was responsible for half of all hackings last year.  Some experts are advising people to disable Java, but if you continue to use it, you should install the latest security update indicated below.
